Question: Dear Shawn, I have been working out with a personal trainer for about 1.5 yrs. About a year ago, one of the trainers in the gym expressed an interest in me. We dated for about 1 month, but things didn't work out. Now I am being told there is other trainer that has expressed an interest. Is it ok for me to go out with another guy from the same gym, even though they are independent trainers and not employees of the actual facility? -
Wow! Consider yourself lucky! You get to date someone that can re-shape and re-sculpt your body. There is nothing wrong you dating the new trainer (since the previous relationship was only one month). Tell the old trainer that if he has heart ache with the situation to take some CREATINE (it will help him to recover faster...Google the word "CREATINE" if you don't understand that joke)....OK moving along. The flip side to this answer is that if you are a "LARGE" person like me....it may take 2 trainers to train you and that is "WHY" you are "being told" that "ANOTHER" trainer has expressed interest in you. I am going to be in a play at my church in Nov 08. It's something new for me to do, never done this before but have always wanted to act since I was a little girl. What can a person do to get into this, who do you talk to, managers, producers, agents, etc., etc.? I really want to do something that I truly know I am good at. My opinion of course. NH, Congrats on trying something new that you have a passion for. The simple answer is: JUST DO IT!!! As human beings, we act all day; everyday. Anyway, some people are natural actors and actresses, but taking a class can help. You can do a search of acting schools around your area for example in the Central Florida STORMS acting school is good or the acting school of South Florida etc. I also use a website to get breakdowns (alerts) of various roles that are fit for me. The website is: www.actorsaccess.com. I have gotten music video gigs from there, commercial gigs and my big movie role from that site. Also, having headshots (quality) headshots are good. This is just the surface in getting into the game. There are other areas and tricks of the trade to learn. But taking baby steps will get you going in the right direction. Magnum, the best thing you can do is stay true to yourself and keep getting up on stage. Always look for different venues to perform in and stretch yourself. I got better by MCing rooms and performing for any audience whether it was a clean show, club show, shows for the Ladies in Red Hats or whatever. As for competitions, stay on the web and be nosey.
